This month’s card: Hoppy Easter. Original pattern is by DMC. I modified it to make the last bunny a bit mischievous. Also changed the shade of purple because it was hard to see the grey facial features.

CSOTM: November 2018 – Got Seed?
This month’s cross-stitch card is a gentle reminder to help feed our feathered friends during the winter months. Got seed?
The bird design is from p. 21 of Donna Kooler.
Happiness can be found …
Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.
— Dumbledore in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” by J.K.Rowling.
Profound words for all times. Perhaps needed today more than ever (well, at least in my lifetime.)
I stitched up this pillow for my favorite niece. (She’s technically my only niece, but she really is a favorite.) She has a short form of the quote as a tattoo. The pattern is from Etsy, and the pillow form is Ikea.
A small hint for stitching on black fabric: Put something white behind the cloth so it’s easier to find the holes. I usually just lay the pattern (printed on white paper) on my lap.
CSOTM: September 2018 — Irish Eyes
Here is September’s Cross Stitch of the Month. Mom has a bit of Irish in her and has always identified with the Emerald Isle. I like the repetition in the pattern of the Celtic Knot. Quick to stitch up. I might choose different greens next time, but I like it well enough.
Celtic knot pattern is from Donna Kooler, p. 147.
