About

Recently, I’ve been spending a great deal of time learning things that are utterly irrelevant and unproductive, but which give me a great deal of satisfaction.  I decided to share this excess with others and see if I can lure them, too, into whiling away their freetime.

What you should know about me:

  • I’m an engineer. I guess that much is obvious by my interest in 3D printing and building firepits.
  • I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. I love to track what my friends are doing, but I hate knowing that Facebook is only showing me what it thinks I want to see. I really want to see it all. I’m perfectly capable of deciding for myself what is interesting (and truthful). Show it all to me. This was the tipping point for me for creating a blog. I want to curate my life — not delegate it to a Silicon Valley company.

Why “LittleChip”?  On the Internet no one knows what my dog tags say.  I’m an engineer.  I’m a Mom.  I’m a wife.  I work with semiconductors (a.k.a. “chips”). I’m a veteran.  It’s been suggested I have a “chip” on my shoulder.  Maybe a small one.  It’s the name I’ve used on the Internet for many years.  LittleChip is “.” me.
