I am delighted with this print of Prot0typ1cal’s Venus Box from Thingiverse.  It is truly amazing that folks post such well-considered designs for the rest of us to download and print.  Humanity’s creativity is truly endless.

CSOTM: August 2018 — Iris

Cross-stitch of the month for August, 2018. My Mom lives across the country, so I don’t get to see her very often.  I try to send a cross stitch card every month, hoping that it gives her something to talk about with her friends. Here’s what I sent for August:

The pattern is from Better Homes and Gardens 2001 Cross Stitch Designs: The Essential Reference (1999), p. 37.  Of course, I added the text.  I was hard pressed to think of something snappy for August, so I kept it simple. I added beads for the stamens, but they don’t really show up in the photo.
